Baldwin Aquatic engineered and constructed a 25m lagoon-style resort pool at the 180-room Marina Shores Resort in Airlie Beach. A major challenge of this project resulted from the site having previously been considerably over-excavated by civil contractors.
The pool created by Baldwin Aquatic features a 800mm hob wall that retains a raised tropical garden, designed to screen out an undercover car park.
Coping and surround paving is Chelmstone quarried stone in ivory, which has a natural looking stone texture. The pool was finished with waterline tiles in matt charcoal ceramic, with the pebble interior boasting a hint of black to enhance the colour depth.
