Baldwin Aquatic and Multispan (Australia) Pty Ltd were commissioned to undertake a detailed assessment of the Mitchell Aquatic and Artesian Hot Springs Facility in late 2009. This subsequently lead to a stage 1 design and construct tender being awarded which was completed November 2010.

The first stage includes the construction of a new 6 lane 25 metre competition standard pool and an interactive zero depth childrens waterplay area. 

Both the 25 metre pool and waterplay area are chlorinated using the new Ecoline freshwater chlorinators.

The 25 metre pool replaces the existing pool built in the 1950’s . The pool is fully tile using the Metz Klinkersire range of vitrified tiles.

The zero depth childrens waterplay area features components from the Waterplay range including a 90 gallon tipping bucket.
