Spicers Peak Lodge is a luxury retreat situated 1.5 hours drive southwest of Brisbane. The resort is surrounded by the World Heritage listed Main Range National Park, and offers luxury accommodation packages for private and corporate getaways. Baldwin Pools worked with the owners and the architect to design a heated, weir-edge, 10-metre recreation pool and spa – both of which enjoy spectacular mountain views that are enhanced by the horizon edge design. The negative pool edge has a gentle horizon curve, which adds to the illusion of water flowing endlessly to the mountains.
The altitude and year-round coolness call for a heated pool and spa, offering ultimate relaxation and creating a constant steamy mist as the heated water meets the cool mountain air. The pool surrounds and waterline tile are sawn-finish Victorian Bluestone and the pool interior is Nambucca Gold pebble, which mirrors the warmth of colours of the sun setting on mountain ranges.
